Tension in Kenya as Fido abruptly ends performance after on-stage altercation

Nigerian music sensation Awosika Olayemi Josiah, professionally known as Fido, abruptly halted his concert in Kenya after a tense onstage altercation with an unidentified man. The moment has since taken social media by storm.
The incident, which unfolded in real time before a shocked crowd, captured the “Joro” crooner in a heated confrontation with the man, whose exact role at the event remains unclear. Eyewitnesses suggest he may have been a security personnel or part of the organising crew, and he appeared visibly upset, allegedly accusing Fido of showing “disrespect.”
In an emotional attempt to salvage the performance, Fido—who recently gained international buzz following a collaboration with Afrobeats icon Wizkid—dropped to his knees, pleading for calm and understanding.
However, the confrontation escalated when the man refused to back down, leading Fido, clearly disheartened, to walk off stage mid-performance, leaving fans confused and disappointed.
Though the root of the disagreement hasn’t been officially confirmed, videos of the clash have gone viral, igniting intense discussion online about professionalism, artist treatment, and crowd expectations.
