Fernandes reportedly involved in heated four-player dressing room row following defeat to Brighton
Reports suggest that there was a heated four-player dressing room argument after Manchester United’s defeat to Brighton.
Bruno Fernandes, the United captain, reportedly confronted Scott McTominay following the 3-1 loss. Additionally, there were alleged verbal altercations between the centre-back pairing of Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof.
According to The Sun, it was manager Erik ten Hag who had to step in to restore order. This incident comes amid a challenging start to the 2023-24 season for Manchester United, where they have lost three out of their first five Premier League matches.
Furthermore, there have been other issues within the team, such as a fallout between Ten Hag and Jadon Sancho, which led to Sancho being excluded from first-team training. Additionally, Brazilian winger Antony has been granted leave amid domestic violence allegations against him.
Manchester United is facing a period of upheaval, and the team will have to regroup and focus as they prepare to face Bayern Munich in their Champions League group stage opener.
