Nigerian Afrobeats legend, Femi Kuti releases a new song titled “Pà Pá Pà”, ahead of his collaborative project “Legacy+” album with Made Kuti.
The term ‘Pà Pá Pà‘ is a common slang in Nigeria that describes doing things quickly. Femi Kuti also asked the government to fix the Nation as soon as possible without wasting time.
Moreover, the 18-tracks project, “Legacy +” album is divided into two sections with 10-tracks for Femi Kuti and 8-tracks for Made Kuti (Femi’s grandson). The LP, “Legacy +” will be available next year.
‘Femi’s album, Stop The Hate, radiates the unique Afrobeat sound that he has forged throughout his long career, affirming the sharply political conviction that his father would’ve claimed in the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
Made’s album, For(e)ward, is a modern and progressive freedom manifesto, pushing boundaries of the subgenre even further.’
Quotable Lyrics;
If government no fit do their job
(PA PA PA!)
Make them comot for there
(PA PA PA!)
Make them comot for there
(PA PA PA!)
If government no fit do their work
(PA PA PA!)
Make them give us electricity
(PA PA PA!)
Make them repair all the roads
(PA PA PA!)
Made them give us good health care
(PA PA PA!)
Make them give us clean water to drink
(PA PA PA!)
