Femi Falana Reportedly Withdraws From Late Mohbad’s Case, Gives Reason

Nigerian lawyer and Human Rights Activist, Femi Falana, reportedly withdraws from representing the late Nigerian artist Mohbad’s family due to family disagreements and conflicting statements.

A surfaced video suggests that challenges arose from Mohbad’s family’s behavior, leading to conflicting statements to the media, hindering the pursuit of justice.

Additionally, the bitter feud within Mohbad’s family, especially involving Mohbad’s father Joseph Aloba and daughter-in-law Wunmi, has exacerbated the situation.

Aloba accused Wunmi of attempting to harm him, while Wunmi responded by initiating legal proceedings against her father-in-law for defamation, adding to the complexity of the situation.

The man in the video also alleged that the court had deemed such family disputes as commonplace and urged Falana not to withdraw from the case, citing his esteemed reputation.

In other news, the autopsy results of the late rapper is slated for release in three to four weeks.

Dr. Richard Somiari, the Director of Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre, provided this information while giving testimony during a coroner’s inquest into the singer’s death on Wednesday.

The witness underwent cross-examination by the defense counsel during the inquest.
