Fans embark on street rally to beg Davido to return online.
Fans of the Nigerian musician Davido took to the streets to organise a protest and demand that he keeps his promise to return to social media.
The DMW, who has been absent since the end of last year, said he would be more available starting in March 2023 and most likely release new music.
But, the month is already in its second week and the ‘FEM’ singer has yet to return to the internet.
Eventually, a group of women decided they could no longer wait and organised a rally to pressure the celebrated singer into fulfilling their long-anticipated request.
In a video uploaded online, drivers who saw the women heading down the street stopped and briefly spoke with them.
The individuals who marched with posters honouring Davido claimed they were carrying them to remind him of the promise.
A placard carried by one of the protesters read: “Baddest It’s March already, please come out.”
