    Fans organise a street protest to persuade Davido to come back online.

    Fans of the Nigerian musician Davido took to the streets to organise a protest and demand that he keeps his promise to return to social media.

    The DMW, who has been absent since the end of last year, said he would be more available starting in March 2023 and most likely release new music.

    But, the month is already in its second week and the ‘FEM’ singer has yet to return to the internet.

    Eventually, a group of women decided they could no longer wait and organised a rally to pressure the celebrated singer into fulfilling their long-anticipated request.

    In a video uploaded online, drivers who saw the women heading down the street stopped and briefly spoke with them.

    The individuals who marched with posters honouring Davido claimed they were carrying them to remind him of the promise.

    A placard carried by one of the protesters read: “Baddest It’s March already, please come out.”

    Another reads;

    “Davido The Real Goat”

    In the meantime, Isreal DMW, Davido’s personal logistics manager, has teased the return of his boss to social media.

    Since the death of his son Ifeanyi on October 31, 2022, the singer has been on and off social media.

    Davido announced his departure from Instagram and Twitter in a post on his Instagram story and Twitter in March 2023.

    The singer is yet to return to social media following his performance in Qatar, which he shared on December 18, 2022.

    Israel DMW has now taken to his Instagram stories to share a picture of a plane and a car, announcing that his boss will return to soon.

    “001. Oga is coming”, he penned.
