Lagos Crowd Thrilled by Wizkid’s Surprise Appearance at Gunna’s Detty December Fest in Lagos

Lagos was thrown into raptures on December 29, 2025, when Wizkid made a surprise appearance at Gunna’s Detty December Fest show, delivering one of the most electric moments of the festive season.
The concert, held at Ilubirin, Ikoyi, marked the Lagos stop of Gunna’s Wun World Tour, with the Atlanta rapper headlining a night already buzzing with anticipation.
Just when fans thought the show had reached its climax, Wizkid stepped onto the stage midway through Gunna’s set, instantly igniting deafening screams and uncontrollable excitement across the packed venue.
Gunna commanded the stage with a high-energy performance, running through fan favourites like “Pushin P” and “Baby Birkin,” alongside songs from his 2025 album, The Last Wun. But the night reached legendary status during the performance of “Forever Be Mine.”

As the beat switched unexpectedly to the collaborative track, Wizkid emerged dressed in matching black-on-black with Gunna to thunderous applause. The duo shared a brief embrace before launching into the song, sending the crowd into disbelief. Wizkid delivered his verse with his signature calm confidence, nodding to fans as the audience sang along word for word.
At the end of the performance, an energized Gunna shouted, “Make some noise for my brother Wizkid!” further amplifying the already electric atmosphere. Though brief, the performance left a lasting impression, ending with another show of camaraderie before Wizkid exited the stage to roaring cheers.
The appearance marked another milestone for the duo, who first performed “Forever Be Mine” live together at Afro+ Fest in Washington, D.C., in September 2025. In Lagos, however, the moment felt bigger—an unexpected Detty December gift that fans won’t forget anytime soon.
