Fans of Olamide have shown unwavering support for their artiste as critique describes him as not a fantastic artiste.
Early hours of January 5, a Tweeter user identified as ‘@Bagofnuts_’ took to his page to classify Olamide as a not fantastic artiste who should not be in the categories of the GOAT conversation.
He described the legendary “Infinity” singer as someone who thrives on the fact that 70% in the music industry are Yoruba’s.
Further, he revealed, that’s the reason he has little recognition in the foreign music industry.
He wrote;
“Olamide is not a fantastic artist. He thrives on the fact that the music industry is 70% Yoruba. There’s no reason he should be in any GOAT conversation, the top 3 are clear. Exactly why he has little international recognition.”

However, this did not sit well with Olamide‘s fans, as mixed reactions and feelings were thrown to the tweet.
Popular Twitter influencers took to this tweet to air their views.
One tweeted;
“This international validation doesn’t let y’all see artistes for who they really are. Olamide didn’t drop 8 solid albums for you to say he’s not a fantastic artiste. You must really think Music only revolves round AfroBeats and RnB. And jsyk, this same olamide you said has Little Int’l recognition already had a billboard charting since 2017, bagged another one with carpe diem this year (peaked no 11 world album chart). Also debuted at No 40 and No 96 on iTunes and Apple Music albums chart USA. Talk another thing Chief this one no follow.”

Another core Olamide’s fan responded by tweeting;
“Man releases 1 album every year since his debut Has at least three hits songs every year, something that most A-list artists can’t relate to Helped so many artists and one of the most featured after Wizkid He deserves to be ranked top 3, and shouldn’t even be 3rd.”
