Erling Haaland wins April Premier League Player of the Month award.
The EA Sports Premier League Player of the Month for April is Erling Haaland.
Shortly after joining Manchester City, the forward made a great Premier League debut, winning the accolade in August. He has maintained this form for the remainder of the season.
Haaland scored six goals in only four appearances in April, perhaps his finest month in England’s top division to date, helping City overtake Arsenal at the top of the standings.
Speaking to the club’s official website about the award, Haaland said: “I am really happy to win this award for the second time this season, I am grateful to everyone who voted for me.
“We are in such a vital part of the season and winning all of our Premier League games throughout April was important. I am delighted to have helped the team by scoring goals and we just need to keep going until the end.”
The striker has had a week full of victories and awards. In addition to earning Player of the Month, Haaland also won FWA Footballer of the Year after receiving an unprecedented 82% of the votes cast.
In addition, the former Borussia Dortmund striker just set a record for the most goals scored by a single player in a single season in the Premier League.
A record-breaking month for Erling Haaland 🌟
