Erik ten Hag reveals what he spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about during dinner.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has revealed that he is already looking forward to his next dinner with renowned former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, as the duo were spotted out together eating dinner ahead of Thursday’s major battle against Barcelona.
Ferguson has won more trophies than any other manager in football history, including a record 13 Premier League crowns, and United have failed to match that level of success since his retirement at the age of 71 a decade ago.
Ten Hag has had a transformative effect on United since his arrival in May and appears to be putting the team back in a position from which they may soon challenge for major honours once more. A number of managers have tried and failed for a variety of reasons.

After resigning as manager, Ferguson stayed at Old Trafford, going upstairs to assume a position as a director on the football club board. Ten Hag now appears to have embraced the chance to use his unmatched knowledge.
“I always enjoy speaking with people who have a lot of knowledge, a lot of experience. He wants to share it; he wants to help and support,” said Ten Hag.
“You feel Manchester United is his club. He feels so committed and he wants that we are doing well. It was a great night and I look forward to the next night with him.”
Ten Hag underlined that United will only have a chance if they perform at their best while speaking about the match against Barcelona, which is a winners-take-all following a 2-2 stalemate in the first leg at Camp Nou.
