Erik ten Hag showers praise on Rashford’s unstoppable performance.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag lauded “unstoppable” striker Marcus Rashford for performing “crazy stuff” in the final third.
With a magnificent solo effort just six minutes into Wednesday’s first leg of United’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest, Rashford extended his scoring streak to 10 goals in 10 games since the international break.
Wout Weghorst scored the game’s opening goal for Ten Hag’s team, and Bruno Fernandes added two more quality goals each side of halftime to secure a comfortable 3-0 victory. However, the Dutchman was only praising one guy.

“In this mood and with this spirit, he (Rashford) is unstoppable,” Ten Hag told reporters after the match. “He can be creative in the final third, to do something in the final third; some crazy stuff, fantasy and adventure.”
Rashford’s contributions ensure that United will continue to be the only English team capable of winning all three domestic competitions, with the League Cup offering United the best chance of all three to end their six-year trophy drought.
Ten Hag wasn’t the only person to wax poetic over Rashford’s recent performances; former United and Forest player Roy Keane asserted that the 25-year-old is at the height of his powers right now.
Although the 3-0 lead gained at Old Trafford may allow Ten Hag to rest some crucial players, United’s demanding schedule continues with an FA Cup fourth-round match against Reading up next on Saturday and the semi-final return leg on Wednesday.
