The manager of Manchester United Football Club, Erik Ten Hag, has reflected on Cristiano Ronaldo‘s performance in the club’s Europa League game.
On Thursday, October 6, 2022, the Dutchman was speaking following the Red Devils’ match against Omonia in Cyprus. According to Ten Hag, Ronaldo was unlucky not to have found the back of the net despite hott8jh the post towards the end of the game.

He said:
I think they were on target as well. The first two, good saves from the goalie, so he had a couple of chances, he created a couple of chances. He was involved with a good run with the first goal for Marcus Rashford, so he had an impact in this game. I think we created a lot of chances tonight, we count them only in the first half already 14, so there was a lot of threat to the opponent’s goal.
Ronaldo has been trying to score his 700th club goal of his career but has not been successful. He hasn’t scored in open play since last season’s matchup with Chelsea.
Prior to the match at Goodison Park, United spent the night in Cyprus and will complete their entire training session there rather than at their Carrington training facility.
