Europeans, Asians are advancing technologically while Africans are doing 100-day prayer – Erigga blows hot
Nigerian rapper Erigga has voiced his criticism of African nations for relying heavily on religion to address societal issues such as infrastructure development and economic progress, contrasting this approach with the technological innovations seen in other parts of the world.
Expressing his dissatisfaction, the rapper lamented Africa’s tendency to prioritize prayer and fasting over utilizing their skills and intellect to improve their countries.
Erigga took to his Twitter account to highlight examples of technological advancements in other regions, such as China’s launch of an artificial sun, Arab nations and Israel transforming deserts into forests, and European countries delving into underwater explorations.
The ‘Motivation’ crooner specifically called out Nigerians for resorting to prolonged periods of prayer and fasting in hopes of improving the dollar to naira exchange rate to around $1/N200, criticizing this approach as ineffective compared to proactive measures.
He wrote; “China launched artificial sun. Dubai is charging the cloud to give rain. Israel and Arab are turning desert to forest via technology. America is going into space.
Europeans are in the deep waters. Africans are on 100 days fasting and praying for dollar to go to 200/$1.”
