    Nigerian Singer, Runtown is apologizing for a harsh tweet he made slamming people who made jokes about running away from Nigeria.

    President Buhari had given a speech addressing the #EndSars Protest on the 22nd Of October and didn’t mention the Lekki Shooting incident.

    This led to people slamming the president for his lack of empathy and avoidance of responsibility. It also led to jokes being made of people trying to leave the country in search of greener pastures.

    Runtown however didn’t take this too well as he slammed them in a now-deleted tweet writing;

    “Anyone making memes and jokes about running away is stupid and lost their damn minds!!! This is not over until it’s over!!”

    Later, under a post of news of Buhari meeting with Ex-presidents, Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, the singer wrote;

    “They are uniting , see why we all have to stay together , my previous tweet was harsh and I TAKE IT BACK ! Sorry guys ,love to everyone out there fighting”
