Brazilian youngster Endrick has opened up about his biggest fear since making his highly anticipated move to Real Madrid during the 2024 summer transfer window.

Speaking in an interview with Brazilian football legend Romário, the teenage forward admitted that his greatest concern as a footballer is missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“Of course, it’s difficult being at the biggest club in the world, with the best players, and not having the chance to play all the time. But every time I play, I can prove my level to be in the national team. I hope that next year I can be in the national team, and if God allows it, we’ll win the World Cup.”
Despite his enormous potential, Endrick has yet to establish himself as a key player for the Brazilian national team. He was substituted at halftime in a match against Paraguay and has since struggled for minutes, playing just 26 minutes in total.
The young forward was also left out of the squad for Brazil’s November international break and was not selected for the match against Colombia.
Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Endrick from Palmeiras in a deal reportedly worth $39 million, with performance-based bonuses that could push the total fee to $66.8 million.
The teenager is widely regarded as one of Brazil’s most exciting prospects, and he will be eager to secure more playing time under manager Carlo Ancelotti as the countdown to the 2026 World Cup continues.
