Emtee rejects drug rumours: “My parents would whoop me!…
South African rapper Emtee has responded fiercely to recent online rumours about his past. A Twitter user accused him of drug use and claimed he was giving a woman from Seshego a R10,000 monthly “girlfriend allowance.”
Emtee, known for not holding back, quickly took to Twitter to clear the air. The accusation read: “What happened to that girl from Seshego you used to do coke with and give her 10k girlfriend allowance?” In disbelief, Emtee responded: “🤣🤣🤣 WTF COKe!? Y’all think I’m just a living vessel. I have parents who’d whoop my ass if I did drugs.”
The rapper emphasized that his life is centred around his family, tweeting, “I don’t remember the last time I was in Seshego, and I’m married with 3 kids. I’m a prayer warrior and wouldn’t give any female besides my wife, mom, and my daughter.”
Emtee has faced past headlines concerning alcohol and drug-use allegations, but this time, he’s putting the rumors to rest. Fans are now eagerly awaiting his fourth studio album, DIY 3, set to drop at the end of this month.
Recall that, recently, Emtee, known for his hit song “Roll Up,” initially shared the news in a tweet that has since been deleted. He expressed gratitude for surviving, saying, “I just got into an accident. I know you don’t care, but God is with me 24/7. Minor setback for a major comeback.”
