Emtee reacts to reports of challenging A-Reece for Album of the Year.
Rapper Emtee opposes rumours that he may challenge A-Reece for Album of the Year. The singer of the song “Pearl Thusi” introduced Lotta’s album, but many people took his remarks to be a challenge to other rappers.
Reece will have a better record, a Twitter user retweeted, to which Emtee replied, “That’s nice for lil bro but I’m big hustle.”
“Lotta albums dropping this year. We’ll see who’s who,” he tweeted.
Emtee became enraged after reading about the alleged challenge on a blog site and turned to Twitter to clarify the situation.
Since the rapper denied challenging anyone, the rumours are untrue.
“Niyanya. I said everybody is dropping albums this year. We’ll see who’s who. Respectfully. Stop pushing this notion that I’m some troublemaker. Never challenged anyone on anything. Or yin? English iyan’ hlula?”

Again, Rapper Emtee, whose widely regarded as the father of Trap in Africa, aspires to surpass the success of the late Forbes, also known as AKA.
The rapper has been outspoken over the last two days, and on this Monday morning, he’s continuing that trend. The Trap star admired Kiernan, who was murdered and died on February 10, 2023.
“One day I’ll be as big as AKA,” he wrote.
Ndevu writes about wanting to one day be famous like Kiernan on Twitter. The tweet, however, drew a range of responses; some assumed he was larger, while others believed his goal was attainable.
“Music-wise you in the same league, character-wise you need to carry yourself better as a business person and as a father, the streets definitely have love for you,” a tweep wrote.
