“Egwu” by Chike and Mohbad has achieved a remarkable milestone, hitting 1 million views on YouTube just a day after its release.
Chike unveiled the music video for “Egwu,” dedicated to the late Mohbad, on February 29, 2024. The track quickly became a smash hit, reaching one million views in less than 24 hours. Presently, the music video boasts 1.4 million views on YouTube and holds the #58 spot on the global trending videos list.
Directed by Nigeria’s esteemed female director, Director Pink, the video artfully incorporates visuals and scenes paying tribute to Mohbad during his posthumous verses.

In recognition of its success, Chike was awarded the Number 1 plaque for his chart-topping song “Egwu,” featuring Mohbad. The track claimed the top position on the Official Nigeria Top 100, marking Chike’s debut entry at the pinnacle of the official singles chart in Nigeria.
