Eden Hazard has officially joined football royalty. The former Chelsea star has been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame, becoming the 26th player to receive the prestigious honour.

It’s a fitting recognition for a player who lit up the league with his flair, creativity, and unplayable moments of brilliance. During his seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, Hazard was more than just a winger; he was Chelsea’s heartbeat.
Crowned Premier League Player of the Season in 2014/15 and Chelsea’s Player of the Season that same year, the Belgian maestro led the Blues to two league titles before departing for Real Madrid in 2019.
The Premier League Hall of Fame celebrates players and managers who’ve made an extraordinary impact on the competition since its creation in 1992. To qualify, inductees must be retired from professional football, a rule that made Hazard’s recent retirement in 2023 the first step toward this moment. Fans also played their part, as a public vote helped determine who would join the elite list this year.

Reacting to the honour, Hazard said with a smile, ,
“It means a lot to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. I’m very proud to join this group of players and I think we could make a good squad! I just wanted to have fun on the pitch and entertain the fans who bought tickets or watched on TV. Being recognised in this way is special for me and my family. My parents were both footballers and now my children love the game too.”
From the moment he arrived from Lille in 2012, Hazard made his mark on English football. In 245 Premier League appearances, he scored 85 goals and provided 54 assists, dazzling defenders with his quick feet, balance, and fearless dribbling.
Hazard will be honoured alongside fellow inductee Gary Neville at the 2025 Premier League Hall of Fame ceremony on Tuesday, November 4. Each inductee will receive a custom medallion engraved with their name and year of induction, plus a £10,000 donation from the Premier League to a charity of their choice.
For many fans, this honour simply confirms what they’ve always believed — Eden Hazard wasn’t just a player; he was pure entertainment every time he touched the ball.
