The British born songwriter and singer has just released a surprise track for his fans titled “Afterglow.”
Ed Sheeran announced the release of the song on Monday, via his Instagram page with an accompanying video.
He revealed Afterglow was written for his fans and cleared the air that the song is not the first single from his next album.
The “Perfect” singer explained the song to be that which he loves and hopes his fans enjoys it.
He wrote;
“Hey guys. Afterglow is a song I wrote last year that I wanted to release for you. It’s not the first single from the next album, it’s just a song I love, and hope you love too. Enjoy! Have a safe and happy festive break and New Year’s. Back to dad land for me now, ciao x.”
This is his first new music since welcoming his first child in August.
