Drake and LeBron James Are Teaming Up To Invest in AC Milan
Canadian rapper and singer Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, has teamed up with American professional basketball player LeBron James to invest in the AC Milan football club.
It seems one of baseball’s top players seems to be entering the football league.
According to a recent article in The Financial Times, the parent company of the New York squad, Yankee Global Enterprises, has teamed up with the Los Angeles financial firm Main Street Advisors to become a minority shareholder in the Italian football club AC Milan.
Main Street Advisors includes NBA star, LeBron James and the 6God himself, Drake. Together, both companies are reportedly closing in on a deal to purchase shares of the reigning Serie A champion league for just a little over $1.2 billion USD.

If the purchase is approved, James and Drake would become the club’s passive owners. To close the acquisition, the Yankees have also teamed up with the private equity firm RedBird Capital.
With their investment in Fenway Sports Group, which also owns English Premier League team Liverpool, and their acquisition of AC Milan from Elliot Advisors, RedBird has a sizable portfolio when it comes to sports ownership.
The deal sees James expand his sports team ownership portfolio as he only recently purchased a stake in the Boston Red Sox back in 2021. James also has ownership stakes in the Pittsburgh Penguins and Liverpool Football Club through joining Fenway Sports Group.
The deal with AC Milan will see Drake and James team up for the second time in the past year. Just last November, the duo invested in a sports technology company, StatusPRO, projected to be worth $57 billion USD by 2027.
