Drake becomes the artist with the most RIAA Diamond certifications

Drake has etched his name deeper into music history, becoming the artist with the most RIAA-certified Diamond records — a monumental milestone that solidifies his dominance in the global music landscape.
This historic achievement was cemented after two of his iconic tracks — “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Best I Ever Had” — each crossed the 10 million sales mark in the United States, earning Diamond status.
These join an already impressive roster of Drake tracks that have achieved RIAA Diamond certification, including “God’s Plan,” “One Dance” (featuring Wizkid and Kyla), “Hotline Bling,” “SICKO MODE” (with Travis Scott), “Life Is Good” (with Future), “Work,” “Love Me,” and “No Guidance” (with Chris Brown).
This milestone arrives just weeks after Drake made history as the first artist ever to surpass 500 million RIAA certification units, a feat that underscores his enduring commercial appeal — particularly in the United States, where he holds a slew of record-breaking chart accomplishments.

Adding to his legacy, Drake recently broke The Beatles’ long-standing record for most cumulative weeks on the Billboard 200 chart, further asserting his place in the upper echelon of music greats.
His recent collaboration album with PartyNextDoor, “$ome $exy 4 U,” propelled him to his 14th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, placing him in elite company alongside Jay-Z and Taylor Swift, both of whom also hold 14 No. 1 albums. Drake now stands just five albums shy of The Beatles’ record of 19 No. 1 albums.
Drake also tied Michael Jackson as the male soloist with the most No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100—13 in total — and continues to lead on Spotify, boasting an unmatched 16 songs with over 1 billion streams.
As 2025 unfolds, Drake’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. According to the IFPI, he was crowned the highest-selling rapper of 2024 and ranked as the second best-selling global artist of the year, trailing only Taylor Swift, who topped the list for a record fifth time.
This marks the tenth consecutive year Drake has appeared in the IFPI’s Top 10 Global Artist ranking — and the tenth time he’s been the world’s top-selling rapper.
Even after a high-profile rap battle with Kendrick Lamar in 2024, Drake remains ahead of him and Eminem, who ranked at No. 9 and No. 8, respectively, on the global sales list.
Drake’s legacy continues to evolve, not just as a hitmaker but as one of the most commercially successful and culturally influential artists of all time.
