Drake Reveals How He Made ‘One Dance’ With Wizkid.
Canadian heavyweight rapper, singer, songwriter, and performer, Aubrey Drake Graham, popularly known as Drake, has revealed how his collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, came about.
The Canadian superstar explained how the song with the Diamond certification came to exist.
The OVO frontman and owner collaborated with Wizkid and British singer Kyla Reid on the hit song “One Dance,” which was featured on Drake’s album “Views” and released in 2016. The song achieved diamond certification in the US in December 2022 after selling more than ten million copies, making it one of Drake’s biggest singles.
Speaking on his independently owned radio station, OVO Sound, the worldwide star said that the making of “One Dance” came quite naturally after he met Wizkid through Skepta and joined the remix of Wizkid’s song “Ojuelegba.”
The rapper continued by saying that he had his concerns about “One Dance” because of how little of a fan base it had, but he was glad that it had been released at all.
