Drake Confirms Australian Tour in 2025
Drake is set to hit the road in early 2025 with his highly anticipated ‘Anita Max Wynn Tour,‘ a tour that will see the Canadian rapper return to Australia for the first time in eight years.
The announcement came during a recent livestream with popular gaming streamer xQc, where Drake shared exciting details about the tour’s start and location.
“I’m coming back to Australia for the first time in eight years,” Drake said, revealing that the tour would begin on February 9 and run through to early March.
While he did not disclose specific venues, the rapper teased that performances will take place in major Australian cities such as Melbourne, Sydney, and Gold Coast. “February 9th for anybody that’s watching from Australia, I’m coming back to Australia on tour. Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast… February 9 ’til like… March something,” he added.
Though the exact cities and venues remain under wraps, Drake hinted that the focus would be entirely on Australia, possibly excluding other locations for the time being.
This will mark Drake’s first tour in Australia since his ‘Boy Meets World‘ tour in 2017. The timing of the announcement coincides with the surprise release of Kendrick Lamar’s new album, ‘GNX,’ only a few days earlier, adding extra buzz to the hip-hop scene.
The name of the tour, ‘Anita Max Wynn,‘ originates from a memorable moment during Drake’s December 2024 livestream on Kick. During that stream, the rapper introduced his “alter ego” of the same name, a playful reference to a gambling term, “I need a max win.”
In addition to the tour announcement, Drake also teased some exciting news regarding his music. He revealed that his joint album with PARTYNEXTDOOR is “75% done,” leaving fans eager for more updates.
Stay tuned for more details on dates and venues as Drake prepares to take the stage once again, bringing his unique energy and music to Australia early next year.
