Jadon Sancho joins Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United.
Borussia Dortmund has officially confirmed the loan signing of winger Jadon Sancho from Manchester United until the end of the season. The arrangement is a straight loan without an option for Dortmund to make the move permanent.
Upon his return to Dortmund, Sancho expressed his excitement, stating, “When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like coming home. I know the club inside and out, I’ve always been very close with the fans here, and I’ve never lost contact with those in charge. I can’t wait to see my teammates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, set up goals, score goals, and help qualify for the Champions League.”

Manchester United issued a statement expressing their best wishes for Sancho in the remainder of the season.
Sancho’s return to Dortmund follows a challenging period at Manchester United, marked by a clash with manager Erik ten Hag.
After being dropped from the matchday squad in September and accused of poor training levels, Sancho publicly challenged the claims and was subsequently banished from the first-team squad for refusing to apologize.
Although he has not played competitively since that incident, Sancho is hopeful of rediscovering his best form at Dortmund, where he previously amassed 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 games.
Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, expressed confidence in Sancho’s impact, stating, “Jadon is an absolute difference-maker, and I’m looking forward to seeing him back in black and yellow soon. Even though he hasn’t played any competitive games in the past few months, we are sure that he will quickly settle back in with us, get into top form and use his qualities to help us achieve our goals for the season.”
