Don Jazzy reveals to Johnny Drille about how his mother’s funeral helped him reconnect with friends.
Nigerian music executive, Michael Collins Ajereh, known professionally as Don Jazzy, has revealed to one of his Mavin members Johnny Drille how his mom’s burial helped him reconnect with friends.
He has jokingly said that his friends do not check up on him even though he is in mourning.
Recall, The Mavin Records boss recently held the funeral ceremony for his mother, Mrs Ajereh, who died a few months ago. Many celebrities, from actors to musicians and even Big Brother Naija stars were in attendance including artists signed to Mavin Records.

However, during a conversation with Johnny Drille and DJ Big N in the studio, Jazzy said that he realised during the burial preparations that he’s not been in contact with many of his friends.
He claimed that as he was making a list of guests, it occurred to him that they hadn’t spoken to one another in a while.
Drille said that sometimes because they often post on social media and see each other’s comments, they assume that they have been in touch.
The chat was happening as they were set to record a song, so Don Baba J added that he also came to the realisation that ‘nobody really dey for you’.
