Don Jazzy explains why his single with Wizkid wasn’t released.
The CEO of Mavin Records Michael Collins Ajereh, known professionally as Don Jazzy, has revealed why his song with Afrobeat superstar Wizkid has not been released yet.
Don Jazzy has worked with many notable Afrobeats artists, and he has now officially explained why he hasn’t shared a single with Wizkid.
Afrobeats star collaborations have produced some of the biggest successes the Nigerian music scene has ever seen. Don Jazzy is a key player in Afrobeats whose contributions have advanced the genre.
The head of Mavin Records has explained why he decided against releasing his collaborations with Big Wiz. When asked by a fan when he would work with Wizkid, Don Jazzy said they had both worked on two songs, but they had both abandoned them because they weren’t good enough.
“I think we did like two songs a while back but we never released it. I think it wasn’t good enough. I guess we have those days when you do songs and your people aren’t feeling it,” Don Jazzy said.

The two musicians had previously collaborated on the remix of Dr Sid’s popular song “Surulere,” which featured Don Jazzy.
“One day, we will be in the studio together and it might happen,” Don Jazzy said on the possibility of a new collaboration with the Grammy winner.
