Nigerian Disc Jockey, Dj Switch has revealed she was never granted asylum in Canada.
Nigerian Disc Jockey, songwriter, and musician Obianuju Catherine Udeh, professionally known as DJ Switch, has made it clear to people that thought she left Nigeria for Canada.
The Disc Jockey made headlines last October when she live-streamed the shooting of innocent protesters during the #EndSARS protest in Lekki toll gate.
After close to a year, she has finally decided to clear the air, disclosing that she was never granted asylum in Canada and had instead been living in a house in Nigeria.

Following the incident, it was revealed that DJ Switch had been granted asylum in Canada for her own protection.
In an Instagram story post, she encouraged Nigerian media to verify news before sharing it, as well as indicating that she is planning to relocate outside of the nation, but not to Canada.
She Wrote:
But let me say this… news outlets and bloggers, I know traffic is the game but when you don’t really investigate properly and run with things that you don’t know for sure or have verified, you sincerely hurt and, in some cases, cause serious complications for people in ‘real life. I’ve been cooked up in a house for months. I never got asylum in Canada. I didn’t even step foot into Canada. I didn’t even speak to anyone who claimed they spoke to me on the issue. Anyways, I will leave it there. By the way, it is now that I am traveling… and not to Canada! Love!
