DJ Khaled congratulates Tems for her Grammy win.
Popular American Disc jockey DJ Khaled has admitted that he is a fan of Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage as Tems.
They met on the red carpet at the 65th Grammy Awards, which took place on Sunday, and he told Tems that he is a huge fan of hers.
Despite the fact he lost the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category to her and Future, Khaled shook hands with the “Try Me” singer and offered her his congratulations on winning her first Grammy.
Tems won in the category of “Best Melodic Rap Performance” for her vocal and songwriting work on Future’s “Wait For U,” which also features Drake and herself.

In the meantime, Tems has tagged her win as incredible and boasted that it was only the beginning.
“It’s incredible you know I get to work with people that five years ago were on my playlist. you know, I was jamming to them, and now am working with them. It’s such a pleasure, I feel like this is just the beginning,” she said.
When asked how the collaboration came to be and if she was notified of her song, “Higher” being sampled, she said;
“It was literally a reach out, we love your song, we are using this as a sample, and I was like amazing, and yeah the song was interesting and I thought it was beautiful, the way it came together.”
