Dj Double D explains why South Africa will suffer greatly as a result of AKA’s passing. In the beachside city of Durban, AKA was shot and killed on Friday night outside a restaurant. The hip-hop artist rose to fame by fusing local sounds with American hip-hop.
The Supa Mega, which stood for racial unity, left a large hole in the South African music landscape. AKA’s passing is a huge loss to Mzansi, according to well-known SA hip-hop DJ, DJ Double D, who made the statement on Twitter.

The prominent DJ said that there will never be another artist who will unite South Africa like AKA and the SA hip hop game will never be the same. “There has never been an artist that can unite South Africa like MEGA, all races, all genders, all ages! The game won’t be the same !” Tweeted DJ Double D.

The Supa Mega will be remembered for all the excellent music he released and all the African musicians he collaborated with. The rapper, who was eager to deliver his new album to the public this month, just released the song “Prada,” which features Khuli Chana, another South African rapper.
His most recent Instagram post includes several images of him and his colleagues in the studio as well as a video of him exposing himself to bright light.
