Nigerian artist and Disc Jockey, DJ Cuppy has shared some of the struggles she experiences as an artist and as a woman.
DJ Cuppy took to her Twitter page on the 10th of March to drop a voice note where she lamented that she feels like she is constantly fighting for everything.
“I just want to acknowledge that I have to fight. I feel like I am constantly fighting as an artist, as a businesswoman, as an individual. It’s almost like every day is a fight. Things that I feel like I deserve, that I work hard for.
Things that I feel like are in my grasp but I have to constantly re-convince and its very frustrating. I Fell like as a woman, this is the case. I feel like as a black person, this is the case and it’s really frustrating, but you know what, you don’t fight, it won’t happen. But it is very frustrating.
I am a human being and I just want to encourage everyone out there that is fighting, you deserve it and let people know that”
