DJ Cuppy reveals why she was scared to drop her album

DJ Cuppy has opened up about the fear she had to overcome before finally dropping her album, “Original Copy”.

In an interview with Apple Music, DJ Cuppy shared how scary putting out music in Nigeria can be.

According to her, Artists like Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy have raise the standard which could lead one to be scared of putting music.

However, she went with her guts and put out the album despite her fears and doubts. Adding that the album is called Original Copy because is about her being herself.

“Nigeria can be a beautiful place but it is also highly critical. When you have Wizkidand Burna Boy and  Davido , some of the greatest artists internationally, it’s kind of scary, you know trying to put yourself out there.

But I did and I don’t care what happens from now on and the album is out and my story is out. It all about me being me and that why its called Original Copy.”
