Nigerian Entertainer, DJ Cuppy has revealed how it was extremely difficult for her to break free from her father’s shadow in her drive to create her own legacy.
In a recent video interview, Cuppy claimed that she was always referred to as Femi Otedola’s kid, and he struggled to break free from that label.
On Thursday, October 14th, 2021, she posted the video to her Instagram page.
Cuppy’s father is Femi Otedola, a Nigerian business magnate and philanthropist.
Temi and Tolani Otedola, her sisters, are also in the entertainment industry; Temi is a fashion blogger and content creator, and Tolani, like Cuppy, is a musician.
Cuppy said in a new video interview with British Youtuber Patricia Bright that the press has always referred to her as “Femi Otedola’s daughter.”

According to her, it took some time for her to emerge from the shadow.
She was even booked for performances in the hopes that her father would attend.
