Popular Nigerian DJ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy, took to Instagram to celebrate her mother, Nana Otedola, amid circulating rumours of marital tensions between her parents, Femi Otedola and Nana.
Recent online speculation noted that Femi and Nana Otedola are no longer following each other on Instagram, and the billionaire businessman had seemingly overlooked his wife in posts for Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.
Despite this, DJ Cuppy made it clear that her love and admiration for her mother remain unwavering.
Sharing a series of throwback photos of herself and her mother over the years, Cuppy reflected on how her appreciation for her mother has grown with age.
She revealed that many things she didn’t understand as a child now make sense: her mother’s constant protection, care, and the desire to always give her the best—even when Cuppy couldn’t see it at the time.
“One day isn’t enough to celebrate @nanaotedola 🥺 The older I get, the more my mum starts to make sense… So many things I did not understand growing up, I understand now. The way she protected me. The way she worried. The way she always wanted the best for me even when I could not see it at the time. Now I look back and realise how much love was behind everything she did for me. I am just feeling really grateful for my mum and everything she continues to do in my life. I love you deep Mama.”
Cuppy’s heartfelt post comes as a reminder of the strong bond she shares with her mother, even as social media buzzes with speculation about her parents’ relationship.
