DJ Cleo fails to pay R1 million loan for his home
According to allegations, DJ Cleo broke the R1 million home contract with Standard Bank. The Wena Ng’Hamba Nawe singer was given the loan in 2006, and by 2022 his payment deadline had passed.
Cleo almost lost the home, which is expected to be valued at R2 million in 2022, but he settled for R10,000, which was supposedly chicken feed.
The bank has filed a lawsuit against Cleo, and court documents are said to have been leaked, which some social media users found objectionable.
Cleo was sued in court by Standard Bank, according to City Press. The bank said it’d loaned the well-known producer R1 104 000 in May 2006 with the understanding that he would pay R9 511.01 every month for 240 months. (20 years).
