Dele Alli returns back to Everton after terrible loan spell with Besiktas
Dele Alli has returned to training with Everton after experiencing a disappointing season at Besiktas. In a picture, he is seen riding an exercise bike, potentially reflecting on manager Sean Dyche’s recent directive to “get fit.”
The Toffees have commenced preparations for the upcoming season at their training base, Finch Farm, with several key players, including Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Dwight McNeil, and James Tarkowski, captured in action during the session.
Everton narrowly avoided relegation on the final day of the previous Premier League season, leaving fans eager for a more competitive performance after finishing 16th and 17th in the previous two campaigns.
Alli has encountered a challenging period on the field, starting with falling out of favor under former Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho. The 27-year-old has scored only one Premier League goal since March 2020 and found the net three times during his time in Turkey.
Nevertheless, his new manager appears willing to provide Alli with a path to redemption if he demonstrates determination and commitment.
Speaking about Everton’s castaway in April, Dyche, who had talked with Alli, said: ‘I just got a sense that he wants to be back playing football and playing well.
‘I’ve heard all the noise, I’ve heard all the opinions and I’m pretty sure that you’re aware that I like to make my own. But he needs to get fit.
‘I’ve met him but I haven’t seen him train, I haven’t seen him play for Everton, I haven’t seen him train with us every day.’
