Ghanaian music maker, Dee Moneey has released a new studio album titled, ‘Omanhene‘.
From the stables of Ghana’s rising Hip-hop singer, Dee Moneey comes this 12-track sophomore studio album tagged, ‘Omanhene‘.
According to Dee Moneey, all of the songs on the project were written in memory of his father, whose demise prompted him to return to the recording studio.
‘Omanhene‘ being the title of the supreme traditional ruler in several Akan nations in Ghana, was his father’s nickname amongst his friends.
Dee Moneey has developed a style that combines Hip-Hop, Techno, Dance, House, and Hip-life inflection to produce a distinctive sound for a generation that was reared on Hip-life, Hip-Hop, and Pop music.
As a matter of fact, Dee Moneey has come a long way since his debut song, “Kpokpo O Body,” in 2011. He has made sure to refine his style and advance his skill as his fan base expands globally.
As Dee Moneey approaches each track on this project with persistence and drive, the passion and emotion are audible.
TrapGod kicks off the project with a tag from Kwesi Arthur and Joey B – both of who added sonorous vibes and verses to the Afrobeats tune.

“Get Paid” follows through, divulging his style into a full trap sound!
In ‘Please Me’, he joined forces with Okewnneth , a relatable vocalist who of course spices up Dee’s already addictive sound. The chemistry between both artistes is classic!
Then, ‘Omanhene‘ the song filled with his affections, and frankly the theme of the main project claim the 4th spot. He recalls his father’s words of encouragement, prayers and well-wishes.
It is clear, Dee Moneey is intentional about his mode of delivery and the message of inspiration, bravery, coupled with deep affections and rhythmic lyricism.
With his latest studio project, Dee Moneey is going for the stars, and we have no doubt that it will mark the beginning of an intriguing new saga in the entertainment space!
