D’banj surprises Lagos commuters with an unexpected ride on public transit.
Nigerian music sensation D’banj, popularly known as Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, caused a buzz online when videos surfaced of him taking a public transport ride in Lagos. The unexpected sight of the star, who just dropped his latest project, The Entertainer, thrilled commuters.
D’banj’s surprise ride coincided with the first anniversary of the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line. In a heartwarming gesture, he even paid the transport fare of fellow passengers by recharging their Cowry Cards, as confirmed by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA).
Starting his journey at the Leventis bus stop, the artist hopped on an electric bus to the Marina train station. He then boarded the Blue Line train, travelling to the National Theatre station and back to Marina.
