    Afrobeat musician Davido has broken multiple records in Nigerian and international music streaming platforms with the release of his highly anticipated album “Timeless.”

    The DMW boss released his fourth album on March 31, 2023. The highly anticipated 17-track album follows a rare quiet time from the award-winning singer who has cemented himself as Africa’s most powerful hitmaker.

    The 17-track album serves as the 4th in Davido’s highly decorated catalogue, following its predecessors, ‘A Better Time’, ‘A Good Time’, and ‘Omo  Olowo (The Genesis)’.

    With guest appearances from the likes of Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Musa Keys, Focalistic, FAVE, The Cavemen, Dexta Daps, and the newly signed artists on his rebranded DMW 2.0 imprint; Logos Olori and Morravey were featured on the project.

    24 hours after its release, ‘Timeless’ has shattered multiple African and Nigerian records across music streaming platforms.

    Following 24 3 days of its release, ‘Timeless’ has achieved the following.

    • On March 31, “Timeless” recorded 4.91 million streams, breaking Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini“s’ previous record debut week total of 4.89 million streams. This is the highest debut week by any album on Spotify Nigeria ever.

    • Davido’s “Timeless” (album) has surpassed 25 Million streams on Spotify

    • The album’s first song, “OVER DEM,” surpasses the previous record for the number of streams a song has received in a single day on Spotify Nigeria by more than two times (460K).

    • The ‘Timeless” project debuted in the Apple Music Album charts with 102 countries 24 hours after its release.

    • Timeless‘ album tops Boomplay’s chart of the most first-day streams ever. Its 7.25M streaming on day one surpassed Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” as the record for the first day (3.38M).

    • “Timeless” tops the Apple Music Album chart in 26 countries

    • “Timeless” set a record for an African album when it peaked at No. 2 on the United Kingdom Apple Music chart.
