Nigerian megastar Davido is concluding 2023 on a triumphant note as his fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ continues to shatter streaming records. The Afrobeats sensation has experienced an outstanding year, marked by the release of his highly acclaimed fourth album.
In the recently unveiled Spotify Wrapped 2023, which compiles music data for the year, Davido achieved a groundbreaking feat, with ‘Timeless‘ emerging as the most streamed album on Spotify in sub-Saharan Africa in 2023.
The record-breaking album has further solidified its success by securing a nomination for Best Global Album at the 2024 Grammy Nominations. Notably, this marks Davido’s first Grammy nomination, with a total of three nominations, including Best Global Performance for ‘Feel‘ and Best African Music Performance for ‘Unavailable‘ featuring Musa Keys.
On the list of Spotify’s most streamed albums in sub-Saharan Africa for 2023, ‘Timeless‘ claimed the top spot, surpassing Asake’s ‘Work of Art‘ and Burna Boy’s ‘I Told Them.’ A noteworthy addition to the ranking is ODUMODUBLVCK, whose mixtape ‘Eziokwu‘ secured the tenth position.
