Davido’s ‘Fall’ re-enters Billboard Chart after performance at Travis Scott’s concert
Davido’s 2017 smash single “Fall” has reentered the Billboard Afrobeats Song Chart following his electrifying performance at Travis Scott’s London O2 concert on Saturday, August 6, 2022.
Afro-fusion superstar Davido’s single “Fall” continues to have a pronounced impact on international music sales.
The song has returned to the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Chart, peaking at number 50 this time.
Before its re-entry, ‘Fall‘ reached a peaked at 18th position and spent a total of 18 weeks on the charts. The song was in February 2019 declared the longest charting Nigerian pop song in the history of Billboard.
This comes after Davido performed as a guest artist at Travis Scott’s recent show at the O2 Arena on Saturday.
The song’s re-entry can be credited to the nostalgia the song drew from the audience at the O2 show.
When ‘Fall‘ was released, it was part of the monster hits ( ‘IF’, ‘FIA’, and ‘Like Dat‘) that Davido released in 2017, and of all the songs, it was ‘FALL‘ that travelled farthest beyond the shores of Nigeria.
‘FALL‘ enjoyed massive success in the US, UK, and other European countries where it introduced a new audience to Afrobeats. It’s certified Gold in the United States where it has earned more than 500,000 units in sales.

The video for ‘Fall’ also set a record as the first Nigerian music video to attain 100 million views and later 200 Million views on YouTube, a music and video streaming platform, in 2017.
The highly successful song, ‘Fall,’ as of August 2021, has over 60 million streams on Spotify with gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and Music Canada.
Its re-entry in the charts after Davido’s performance in the London concert of one of America’s biggest artists is a testament to its popularity. It’s left to be seen if the re-entry will spur it to another run in the United States.
