In other news, Davido has revealed who the “Dami Duro” beat was initially meant for.
The DMW boss made this known when he was speaking about his 2011 hit song during an episode of the ‘Afrobeats: The Backstory’ documentary.
The documentary which centres on the rise of the Afrobeats genre premiered on Netflix on Thursday. It was produced by Ayo Shonaiya.
The song ‘Dami Duro’ is the second track on the singer’s debut album, ‘Omo Baba Olowo’ (2012).
Davido said he initially had no intention to record a song with the beat.
The singer who started out as a producer revealed that he was working on the beat for Sexy Steel when he had a studio.
However, when he met with Shizzi, he changed his mind and that was how Dami Duro was born.
