Davido launches new social media app
Nigerian music superstar Davido has ventured into the tech world with the launch of a new social media app called Chatter.
Davido announced the launch on his social media handles on July 11, 2024, sharing the app’s backstory and features. Co-owned with his friend, Sir Banko, Chatter is designed to empower content creators by connecting them with a vibrant community and providing a platform to amplify their voices. Beyond content creators, the app also caters to business-minded individuals and those seeking connections.
This marks Davido’s third online project in eight months, following the launch of his cryptocurrency, $DAVIDO coin, which unfortunately crashed days later, sparking controversy among crypto enthusiasts.
Despite this setback, Davido’s foray into the tech industry demonstrates his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to innovation. Chatter aims to provide a unique social media experience, and its success will be closely watched by the tech and entertainment industries.
