Davido has just demonstrated on his latest release, ‘Timeless Album’ that success isn’t simply measured by the number of accolades you receive or endorsements you secure; it also includes how often you’ve faced adversity and conquered it.
These exhilarating times have been accompanied by sharp periods of sadness and pain, as with any success stories. After his son’s untimely death in 2022, Timeless comes after a period of intensely personal losses and a protracted absence from public view.
Throughout this project, Davido answers with an older man’s acceptance, emphasizing calm self-preservation over giddy euphoria and coming back with songs that are measured as they are certain in his victory over any oppositional forces that may arise.
