Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has taken to social media to publicly appreciate his father, billionaire businessman and philanthropist Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, following his recent intervention in a resurfaced paternity controversy.

On January 22, 2026, the singer shared a brief but emotional message online, accompanied by heart and prayer emojis. “Thank you my loving Father … ❤️🙏,” Davido wrote, a post many fans immediately linked to the ongoing situation surrounding allegations that have once again made headlines.

The message came shortly after Dr. Adeleke held a press conference on Wednesday, where he directly addressed renewed claims that Davido fathered a 12-year-old girl named Anu (Aanuoluwapo).
Speaking firmly, Adeleke dismissed the allegation, stating that several DNA tests conducted over time had conclusively proven otherwise.
According to multiple reports, the tests were carried out at different medical facilities in Lagos, with additional steps taken for transparency, including the involvement of Davido’s cousin, B-Red. Dr. Adeleke stressed that the results consistently showed Davido is not the child’s biological father.
He further clarified that any previous financial assistance given to the child and her mother, such as school fees and welfare support, was motivated by compassion and goodwill, not by any acknowledgement of paternity.
The long-running issue reportedly resurfaced after the child’s mother pushed for yet another independent DNA test, despite earlier results. Davido has repeatedly denied the claims in the past, maintaining that he has never met the woman involved and has always relied on DNA evidence to back his stance.
In the wake of his father’s rare public appearance to address the matter, fans and celebrity news platforms interpreted Davido’s message as a heartfelt show of gratitude for standing up for him and protecting the family’s name during a sensitive moment.
