Davido bows to pressure, deletes controversial music video
Nigerian singer and music executive, Davido, has deleted the controversial music video for his signee, Logos Olori’s new single ‘Jaye Lo,’ which he posted on Twitter.
The short clip had sparked outrage, particularly among Muslims who found the content offensive and disrespectful to their religion. The video depicted a group of men in white ‘jalamiya’ praying, then transitioning into dancing in front of a mosque.
Despite initial disregard for the criticisms, Davido eventually took down the video from his page and has not issued an apology to the Muslim community for the perceived disrespect.
In another news, Davido, has shown his appreciation for the honesty of hotel worker, Kekwaaru Ngozi Mary, who returned $70,000 (approximately 54.3 million Naira) that a man misplaced in the hotel.
Davido was moved by her integrity and decided to reward her with $10,000 (approximately 7,765,000 Naira). He took to Twitter to announce his gesture and called on people to help him find her.
The singer’s act of kindness has garnered praise and attention, highlighting the importance of honesty and integrity in Nigeria.
