Davido unveils new release date for his forthcoming album ‘5ive’
Nigerian music icon Davido has provided an update on his highly anticipated album, ‘5ive.’
The DMW boss has announced a revised release date for the project, shifting it from its original March 15, 2025, schedule to April 18, 2025. While he hasn’t disclosed the reason behind the delay, fans remain eager, counting down the days until its arrival.
Davido has already had an eventful start to 2025, securing his fifth Grammy nomination at the 67th Grammy Awards for Best African Song Performance with his contribution to Chris Brown’s ‘Sensational.’
Ahead of ‘5ive,’ he has treated fans to two singles—’Awuke,’ featuring Jamaican dancehall sensation YG Marley, and ‘Funds,’ a collaboration with Chike and OdumoduBlvck.
Sharing his excitement on social media, Davido described the upcoming album as deeply personal:

Adding to the excitement, Nigerian star Omah Lay has confirmed his involvement in the album, describing their collaboration as a seamless blend of their styles.
Meanwhile, AG Baby has also hinted at a potential guest appearance, raising expectations for ‘5ive‘ to follow in the footsteps of Davido’s record-breaking fourth album, ‘Timeless.’
