Nigerian Afrobeat superstar Davido has thrilled fans with the announcement of his upcoming song featuring his 30BG members: Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Dremo Drizzy.
Afrobeat enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating Davido’s latest release, especially since it’s a sequel to his 2018 hit, “Mind.” Davido made the exciting revelation via a tweet, declaring, “MIND PT 2 !!! Get ready!!” and tagging his DMW colleagues, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Dremo. The original “Mind” was a massive hit upon its release, with its official music video amassing over 15 million streams and more than 45,000 likes.
This announcement follows Davido’s recent challenge to his rival Wizkid, urging him to release his own song. Davido’s social media post teasing “Mind pt 2″ has ignited a flurry of reactions online.
Interestingly, Mayorkun’s involvement in the track raises eyebrows as he is no longer officially a part of DMW, which has since dissolved. As for Peruzzi and Dremo, they have shifted to Nine+ record alongside other former DMW members.
