Nigerian Afrobeat superstar David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed his reason for strongly supporting his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in his race for the position of governor of Osun State.

The DMW boss knows how to make a statement, and he has done it yet again as he explains why he is supporting his uncle, Senator Adeleke, in the Osun gubernatorial elections.

Since 2018, Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has been running for governor of Osun State, and the artist has publicly supported him throughout the process.

In an interview with the BBC, the musician, who has been openly supporting and advocating for his uncle under the PDP, spoke about his motivation for openly supporting and campaigning for his uncle.

According to Davido, the well-known proponent of the ‘We Rise by Lifting Others’ motto, his main motivation was simply because family is everything.

The singer also gave additional reasons by saying

“I feel like we’re the best people for the job and if you give us one or two years, you’ll see.”
