I Didn’t Make Timeless Because I Want A Grammy Award- Davido Reveals.
Nigerian afrobeat superstar David Adedeji Adeleke OON, who is professionally known as Davido, has said he didn’t make the Timeless album with the intention of winning a Grammy.
According to various rumours, Davido featured Angelique Kidjo on his Timeless album to enter the Grammy Awards contest.
The Afrobeat icon stated in an interview that he didn’t make the record in order to get a Grammy or any other prize; rather, he did it in order to make his fans feel good.
Davido said that while he would be pleased to get the Grammy Award, he wasn’t planning the album with awards in mind.
He said: “If I win a Grammy, I will be happy but I didn’t make this album because I wanted to win anything”
