Davido explains how he persuaded Chioma to appear in the “Assurance” video.
David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has claimed that he lied to Chioma in order to convince her to star in the music video for his song Assurance as his video vixen.
The musician said this when discussing how their relationship began in an interview with Ebuka for the Black Box series.
According to him, they had been acquainted for around seven years, and his friend Lati is the one who put them in touch.
When the two of them first met, according to the DMW chairman, they were both still enrolled at Babcock University.
Davido said that she declined to appear in the Assurance video but he begged her and lied that it was very important and he needed it, so she agreed.
According to him, Chioma never wanted the celebrity life, but she handled it so well even though she often gets hate messages for being in a relationship with him.
He also said that one key reason he knows she is the one is that she is someone he can live his first child, Imade with, and he is certain nothing will happen, even though she is not her daughter.
